About me

Born and raised in Wisconsin. Joined the marine corps at 18. Became a military police officer. Honorably discharged and becoming a fire and police 911 dispatcher. Working as a waitress, getting accepted into the dental hygiene program. My husband deploying, getting pregnant and then starting school when Colton was 6 weeks old. Finding out my husband had to deploy again, getting pregnant when Colton was only 3 months old, then finding out he had a heart defect. Colton having open heart surgery at 7 months and then my husband deploying. Having a baby without my husband there but watching from Iraq via webcam. Being a single mom, going to school full time and finding out my son has a genetic disorder. Moving back home and my husband leaving. Going through a divorce, dating (ugh!) and raising children as a single mom on my own. Then finding out I have breast cancer at 28. It's been an interesting ride and my goal has always been to write a book, although I don't think I am organized enough to create one. So here is my attempt at sharing my laughs, my cries, and my positive spin on all that life has thrown at me. I hope my experiences make you smile. :)
